Young Adults

New Years eve I was out at Aliante park with some young adults. They where looking to get a feel for modeling for which they might possible peruse. I obliged them and geared up and met with them Saturday morning New Years eve.

I had an awesome time working with these teens “Young Adults”. They where awesome right from the start, even being that this was a first for Mickey, Andrew, Amber, and Jenny. After showing them a few shots on the back of the camera and a few of my creative ideas they where all so excited they started jumping in trees, riding skateboards and such, all while creating some great content just having some fun! Thank you Andrew, Mickey, Amber, and Jenny! I had a great time working with all of you guys!

Portraits Still Matter

Portraits have many functions the most common function is to make the viewer aware of personalities, likeness, mood, and environment. So portraits are generally not snapshots and are composed visual representations of personality. We believe that a portrait is tantamount in telling a legacy or archiving memories in their correct form. Without portraiture we may not have know what our past presidents looked like. We may not have known important people in time and may not have understood their surroundings.

We have all seen epic portraits over the years and love them. Do you need to be an important person in history to have one? No!! Brooks Avenue Studios still creates them.

Our aim is to give you and your family their own legacy through portraiture. Something to hand down for generations. We all have those fading crumbling photos in boxes upon boxes berried deep in the garage or the closet. Why not have an epic portrait that wont fit in the closet but hanging on the wall that displays honor and pride?

My grandfather moved to California from Michigan in the early 1950s and had to work several jobs to feed his family. Today I wish I had a portrait of him to depict his personality and the environment at that time.

Smashing Alice Video Promo

We thought you would like to see our latest video project completed. JB and I were commissioned by the cover band Smashing Alice to do a Video Promo for them.

This was a fun project for us with very specific requirements requested by the band. All Photos, Video, Sound, and editing by James Brown and Garrett Winslow.

We personally thank Smashing Alice and it’s individual members for the opportunity to serve them. You guys were awesome to work with and we thank you for your referrals!

Father & Daughter Reunion!
